Then this advanced Hebrew course is perfect for you!

During this course you will awake to the main problems of climate change and open your awareness to what's going on in the world and in Israel.

We will explore the topic everyone is speaking about and why our individual habits and everyday life's behaviours are so important; what's the relationship between our human impact and the damage the Earth is suffering.

During our time together we will discuss sensitive subjects like sea pollution, the poles melting, the drying of the Dead Sea and we will evaluate the way we live our lives, and how life in Israel is affected by climate change and vice versa.

This is a conversation course, but you should be able to read and write in Hebrew to follow the class.

Environmental Activism

How we teach...

The goal of our classes is to equip you with the tools to handle everyday life in Hebrew or Arabic. This also includes leaving the classroom sometimes to go to the Shuk together or tour through Tel Aviv- Yafo. Thanks to a variety of activities (games, singing, movement, or cooking), our classes are extra interactive and engaging, designed to encourage our students to start speaking from the first class onwards. This way, we build your confidence in the classroom to engage with your surroundings in Hebrew or Arabic outside of the classroom.

Meet the teachers

Shay

is a full-time Hebrew teacher who combines multi-disciplinary topics in his classes. Shay has lived in Tel Aviv for the past 10 years, and is always happy to share his love for the city, its buildings (he studied architecture at Tel Aviv University!) and people.

Maayan

has been teaching our more physical and experiential classes for the past five years. As a trained dance-theatre artist, she is constantly on the move. She loves people, nature & games, has a BA in education, an MA in Visual Literacy, and is a big believer in the power of the group.
